iPhone 6s Release Date - iOS9 Rumours

Posted by Robert Shaw at

With Apple’s iPhone 6 & 6+ released just back in September 2014, the rumours have been rife for the next iPhone model to be released by one of the world’s biggest tech manufactures. These days it’s becoming ever easier to predict when the latest models will be released, with the current trend usually being one every year and in some cases every 6 months. Initial indication suggest that the iPhone 6S will be released in September 2015.

What we can be certain of is that the iPhone 6S will come preloaded with the latest version of the iOS operating system, iOS9. At Apples WWDC 2015 Apple gave us our first glimpse at iOS9 in addition to OS X 10.11 El Capitan. No doubt iOS9 will be packed with lots of new features as it is a progression from iOS8.

Within the iOS9 code, it suggests that the front facing camera could get a huge boost. Being able to capture full HD 1080p – 240fps along with the slow motion function, which is currently available on the iPhone 6 & 6+’ rear facing camera. There is also hints that there could be a front facing flash, making it easier than ever to take that all important selfie!

With regards to the screen size. Most of the indications and rumours suggest that it will be the same size, 4.7” & 5.5” respectively. No doubt the choice of colours will remain the same.

Given the saga & adverse media exposure with the fragile screens on the iPhone 6 & 6+, no doubt Apple will look to increase the durability of the Sapphire Glass on the 6S to avoid history repeating itself.

This is what we know so far, as September approaches more features will inevitable come out of the woodwork. Watch this space!
